The project “ActiHeal” was launched to optimize the treatment of typical complications caused by diabetes mellitus. Focus is the development of technologies for the activation and the clinical application of tissues and cells for the treatment of chronic wounds.

Human Med is R&D partner in “ActiHeal” in collaboration with following institutions: Competence Center for Diabetis Karlsburg and Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology; Rostock University Medical Center, Department of Cell Biology; University of Rostock, Chair of Microfluidics.

The joint efforts are funded, as part of the European Union’s EFRE project, by the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor and Health Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
